Flowers always make people better, happier, and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.

I am new to the Pacific Northwest, just bought a house, and have a new, full-time job. Needless to say, I have a lot going on! Something else that is new to me is gardening. I will be exploring the world of gardening through trial and error with you.

We are what we eat.

I am one with the garden...I think?

When I moved into my first home, I was so excited that we had a GARDEN! I thought how hard could it be to maintain this perfect little plot of land? Turns out, harder than I thought. But also, I got to have a lot more fun and be more creative with it than I ever dreamed.
That first summer, the previous landlords had alreayd planted everything we needed in our started garden, beans, garlic, onions, tomatoes, herbs, fruit trees. We couldn't really ask for more. That first summer was magical and I keep thinking about it. I wanted to recreate that scene with my own twist. I've started to do my own research into what could work for me and my schedule, as well as what kinds of plants I want for my garden. There's so much more to it than that, which is what this blog is all about!
